Getting started
Setting up your lab
Register your lab and configure the profile that appears on every report.
Getting started takes two steps: create your account, then set up your laboratory profile. The profile is the single source of truth that the report engine reads from — your name, address, logo, and signatories all flow from here onto every PDF you produce.
1. Register your lab
From the Labgen homepage, choose Register Your Lab. Registration is intentionally minimal — you only need:
- Your full name
- Your laboratory name
- A work email address
- A password
That's it. All the detailed configuration happens after you log in, so you can start exploring immediately.
2. Complete your laboratory profile
The first time you sign in as the lab owner, Labgen prompts you to set up your Laboratory Info. You can complete it then, or skip and return later — it lives under Lab Config → Laboratory Info in settings.
The laboratory profile controls how your reports look. Fill in:
| Field | Used for |
|---|---|
| Lab name & address | The header on every report |
| Header / footer images | Your branded letterhead artwork |
| QR code | Optional report-verification or contact QR |
| Signatories (up to 3) | Names and titles printed in the signature area |
| Checked by / Technician | Defaults for the staff credited on a report |
You can change this any time
Your laboratory profile is editable from Lab Config → Laboratory Info. Changes apply to newly generated reports immediately. See Lab configuration & settings for the full list of options.
