Data logger (audit trail)
A tamper-aware record of result edits and post-authorization amendments.
The Data logger is your oversight module. It surfaces results that were edited repeatedly or changed after they were authorized — exactly the events an auditor or accreditation assessor wants to see controlled.
Owner-only
Like MIS, the Data logger is limited to the lab owner and center managers.
What it watches
- Repeated edits — a result changed several times in a short window gets flagged.
- Post-authorization amendments — any change to a verified or finalized result, the most important red flag.
- Audited deletions — when a patient with authorized results is deleted, what was removed is recorded first.
The change timeline
For each flagged result, you can expand a timeline showing every change: the value before and after, who made it (with their role at the time), when, and — for post-authorization amendments — the reason they were required to give. Severity is graded so the most serious events stand out.
Built for accreditation
The audit trail is shaped around ISO 15189 / NABL and 21 CFR Part 11 expectations: history is kept separately from live results, so your reports always print exactly one current value while the full change record is preserved.
