Clubbed reports (one PDF)
Combine some or all of a visit's finished test reports into a single PDF.
When a patient takes several tests in one visit, each test has its own report — but nobody wants to hand over a stack of loose PDFs. Clubbing combines the finished reports of a visit into one PDF, one page per test. You choose which tests go in: all of them by default, or untick any you want to leave out.
Where you can club reports
The same picker appears everywhere you print finished reports, and all three produce an identical document:
- Report Status board — entries with released tests show a green Club Report button. This is the natural place once a visit is done: open it, tick the tests, print one PDF.
- Express Report (the skip-queue Create Report lane) — after your results are authorized, the preview shows a Club into one PDF row when the visit has more than one report. The print button counts your selection (Print Report · 2).
- Print → Report in the registration console — reprints of already-authorized reports use the same tick-list.
Clubbing from the Report Status board
- 1Open Report Status and find the entry — the Club Report button appears once at least one of its tests is Released.
- 2Click it. Every authorized report is listed with a checkbox, all ticked; the preview below shows exactly the pages that will print.
- 3Untick any test you want to leave out — the preview updates as you go.
- 4Click Print Report. The combined PDF opens in a viewer, ready to print or save.
Partial visits are fine
You don't have to wait for every test. If two tests are released and a slow culture is still in the lab, Club Report shows the two that are ready and lists the pending one by name — it's never silently dropped. Club what's done now, and print the straggler later.
What clubbing does — and doesn't — change
- It only shapes the printed PDF. Ticking or unticking a test never changes its status on the board — release, dispatch, and the audit trail work exactly as before.
- In the Express lane, Release to patient is unaffected. It always releases every test that was authorized in that run, whatever you selected for printing.
- Outsourced tests aren't clubbed. Their report is the partner lab's own uploaded PDF, which can't be merged into your generated document — it stays available from its own view button on the board and in the patient portal. See Outsourced tests.
- Patients always get everything. The patient portal's downloadable visit report automatically includes every released test — no selection needed on their side.
