Design report layouts and deliver finished results to patients.

Labgen turns captured results into clean, professional reports. You design a template once, and every report inherits your branding, layout, and the right reference ranges for each patient.

How a report comes together

  1. 1Results are captured for a patient's ordered tests — typed in or received from an analyzer.
  2. 2Labgen applies the correct reference range to each parameter based on the patient's age and gender.
  3. 3A staff member reviews and verifies the results.
  4. 4The report is finalized and rendered as a branded PDF.
  5. 5You deliver it — download, print, WhatsApp, or email.

Report templates

Templates define how a report looks: your letterhead, the grouping of parameters (for example RBC, WBC, and platelet groups in a CBC), peripheral-smear or free-text sections, and the signature area. Your laboratory profile — name, address, logo, signatories — flows automatically into every template.

Age and gender aware

A single template adapts per patient. The same CBC template prints adult-male ranges for one patient and paediatric ranges for another, with no manual switching.

Delivering reports

  • Download / print a PDF for in-person collection.
  • Club several tests into one PDF — combine all or some of a visit's reports into a single document. See Clubbed reports.
  • WhatsApp the report directly to the patient's number.
  • Email it as an attachment.

Amendments

If a result needs correcting after it's been authorized, Labgen lets you amend it but asks for a reason and records the change. See Verification & critical values and the Data logger for how this is tracked.
