Navigating the dashboard
Find your way around the Labgen workspace and its modules.
The Labgen dashboard is organised around the daily flow of a lab: register a patient, order tests, capture results, verify, and deliver. The left navigation groups every module, and a built-in team chat panel sits alongside your work.
The workspace
- Left navigation — every module, grouped by area (patients, reports, network, insights, settings).
- Main panel — the screen you're working in.
- Team chat — a collapsible panel on the right for staff messaging. See Team chat.
Roles and access
Not everyone sees everything. Labgen uses roles to keep sensitive screens — like financials and audit trails — limited to the right people.

| Lab owner / admin | Everything, including MIS, data logger, and settings |
| Center manager | Most operations plus business reporting |
| Lab staff | Patient registration, result entry, reports |
Owner-only modules
MIS & reporting and the Data logger are restricted to the lab owner and center managers, because they expose revenue and compliance data.
Multi-location
If you run more than one branch, your data is kept cleanly separated per lab while rolling up into the same account, so head-office reporting sees the whole picture and each branch sees its own work.
